Transplantation (TRP)

Section Information

Transplantation focuses on the surgical replacement of organs, tissues, and cells to restore function in patients with end-stage disease or irreversible organ failure. It includes donor evaluation, organ preservation, immunologic compatibility, surgical techniques, and long-term recipient care.

Modern transplantation research includes advances in immunosuppression, graft tolerance, organ preservation technologies, xenotransplantation, regenerative medicine, and mechanisms of rejection. Improvements in donor management, organ allocation, and precision monitoring continue to enhance transplant outcomes and survival.

This section publishes clinical studies, basic science research, reviews, and case reports addressing transplant surgery, immunology, graft survival, postoperative complications, ethical considerations, and innovations in organ and cell-based therapies.
