Library Science (LBS)

Section Information

Library Science focuses on the organization, management, preservation, and dissemination of information resources within libraries and related institutions. It examines how information is collected, cataloged, accessed, and used, and how library services support education, research, community development, and lifelong learning.

Modern research in library science includes digital libraries, metadata standards, information retrieval, knowledge organization, user behavior, information literacy, data management, preservation technologies, and the evolving role of libraries in digital and networked environments. Advances in AI, data analytics, and digital curation continue to transform library services and information ecosystems.

This section publishes empirical studies, theoretical analyses, reviews, and case reports addressing library operations, information access, digital transformation, user engagement, and the development of innovative strategies for managing and delivering information resources.
