Volume 4, Issue 6 (June 2025) - 3 Articles

This issue presents three research articles that demonstrate the power of computational methods in tackling real-world challenges. The first study applies machine learning to satellite data for wildfire classification, identifying Decision Trees as the most accurate model for early warning systems. The second improves the accuracy of numerical solutions by refining error estimation using the moving nodes method, enhancing reliability in scientific and engineering simulations. The third uses machine learning to diagnose Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, with Logistic Regression delivering the best performance for accurate and interpretable clinical decision support. Together, these works show how data-driven tools can advance environmental safety, precision modeling, and healthcare diagnostics.

Abstract: Wildfires are a growing global concern, causing widespread environmental, economic, and health impacts. In the USA, fire incidents have become more frequent and intense due to factors such as climate change, prolonged droughts, and human activities. Machine learning plays a vital role in predicting and classifying fires by analyzing vast satellite and environmental datasets with high speed and accuracy. … Read More

Abstract: This article addresses the calculation of approximation errors in numerical methods for solving differential equations. A fundamental challenge when replacing differential equations with discrete representations is ensuring that the discrete solution closely approximates the exact solution. To tackle this, a grid area is established for the difference solution, with discrete solutions evaluated at specific nodal points… Read More

Abstract: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent hormonal disorder affecting women of reproductive age, commonly resulting in irregular menstrual cycles, elevated androgen levels, and the presence of polycystic ovaries. It is a major cause of infertility and is often linked with metabolic complications such as insulin resistance and obesity. Symptoms vary and may include acne, excessive hair growth, weight gain, and hair thinning. Early detection and proper management through lifestyle interventions and medical treatment are crucial to mitigating long-term health risks… Read More
