Volume 4, Issue 7 - 2 Articles

In a fast digital shift, organizations are rethinking how they work to become more efficient, adaptable, and sustainable. This issue brings two complementary studies: one on ERP systems for mid-sized manufacturers, comparing cloud-based and on-premise QAD solutions, and one on Portuguese students’ views of technology and sustainability from 2021 to 2024. The ERP study shows cloud ERP lowers upfront costs and speeds integration, while on-premise offers more control and customization, underlining the need to match ERP choice to a firm’s growth path. The student study finds steady trust in online learning tools and a clear rise in sustainable habits. Together, the papers show how digital tools and responsible practices can strengthen both industry and education.
