Cell Biology (CLB)
Section Information
Cell Biology focuses on understanding how cells are structured, how they function, and how they coordinate activities that support life. It covers processes such as cell growth, division, signaling, transport, and interactions with their environment. Studies range from single cells to complex tissues and organisms.
Modern cell biology uses microscopy, molecular tools, imaging, biophysics, and quantitative analysis to investigate cell behavior at high resolution. These approaches reveal how cells sense cues, organize internal components, maintain homeostasis, and respond to stress, disease, and developmental signals.
This section will publish research articles, short communications, and reviews on cellular structure, organelles, cytoskeleton, membrane dynamics, cell division, signaling pathways, cell–cell interactions, developmental cell biology, and disease-related cellular mechanisms.
