Section Information
Dermatology focuses on the study, diagnosis, and management of disorders affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. It encompasses medical, surgical, cosmetic, and diagnostic approaches to treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions across all age groups.
Modern dermatology integrates advances in immunodermatology, dermatopathology, laser and aesthetic procedures, dermatoscopy, molecular diagnostics, and targeted therapies. Research continues to expand understanding of skin disease mechanisms, treatment strategies, and prevention approaches, including innovations in biologics and personalized medicine.
