Forestry (FOR)
Section Information
Forestry focuses on the science, management, conservation, and sustainable use of forests and forest resources. It examines ecological processes, forest dynamics, biodiversity, silviculture, forest health, and the socioeconomic dimensions of forest landscapes.
Modern forestry research includes forest ecology, climate change impacts, forest restoration, carbon sequestration, forest genetics, fire science, forest products, and sustainable forest management practices. Advances in remote sensing, modeling, geographic information systems, and monitoring technologies continue to enhance forest research and decision-making.
This section publishes research articles, applied studies, reviews, and case analyses on forest ecosystems, management strategies, conservation efforts, forest products, policy frameworks, and emerging environmental challenges affecting forested landscapes.
