Section Information

Infectious Diseases focuses on the biology, transmission, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases caused by pathogens including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. It explores host–pathogen interactions, immune responses, antimicrobial therapy, and the epidemiological patterns that shape infectious disease dynamics worldwide.

Modern research in infectious diseases integrates microbiology, immunology, genomics, epidemiology, public health, and clinical medicine. Advances in molecular diagnostics, antimicrobial development, vaccine technologies, infection control, and global surveillance continue to transform the prevention and management of infectious diseases.
