Immunology (IMN)
Section Information
Immunology focuses on the structure, function, and regulation of the immune system and its role in protecting the body against pathogens, maintaining homeostasis, and contributing to disease. It examines innate and adaptive immune responses, immune tolerance, inflammation, and the mechanisms underlying immunological disorders.
Modern immunology integrates molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, and clinical medicine to advance understanding of host defense, autoimmune and allergic diseases, immunodeficiencies, and immune-mediated conditions. Innovations in immunotherapy, vaccines, biomarkers, and cellular therapies are transforming the treatment of numerous diseases.
This section publishes research articles, reviews, and clinical studies on immune system mechanisms, immunopathology, diagnostic approaches, therapeutic interventions, and emerging trends in basic, translational, and clinical immunology.
