Neurosciences (NES)
Section Information
Neurosciences focuses on the study of the structure, function, development, and disorders of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. This field integrates molecular, cellular, systems, cognitive, and computational approaches to understand how neural circuits support behavior, cognition, and physiological processes.
Modern neuroscience research spans neurobiology, neurophysiology, neuroimaging, neurogenetics, neural engineering, and neuropsychology. Advances in brain mapping, electrophysiology, molecular technologies, computational modeling, and neurotherapeutics continue to deepen scientific understanding and improve treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
This section publishes basic, translational, and clinical research articles, reviews, and methodological studies on brain function, neural mechanisms, neurological disorders, behavior, cognition, and innovations contributing to the advancement of neurosciences.
