Nanoscience and Nanotechnology focuses on the study, design, manipulation, and application of materials and systems at the nanoscale. It examines the unique physical, chemical, mechanical, and biological properties that emerge at nanometer dimensions and how these properties can be harnessed across scientific and engineering fields.

Modern research in this field includes nanomaterials synthesis, nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, nanomedicine, nanophotonics, catalysts, sensors, energy nanotechnology, and computational nanoscience. Advances in characterization techniques, molecular engineering, self-assembly, and device integration continue to expand the potential of nanoscale technologies.
