Ocean Engineering (OCE)

Section Information

Ocean Engineering focuses on the design, analysis, construction, and operation of systems and structures that operate in marine environments. It integrates principles of hydrodynamics, structural mechanics, materials, offshore engineering, and marine technology to address challenges associated with ocean operations.

Modern ocean engineering incorporates advanced modeling tools, ocean observing technologies, autonomous systems, renewable energy devices, and innovative materials. These developments support safe, efficient, and sustainable utilization of ocean resources while improving the resilience of offshore infrastructure.

This section publishes research articles, technical studies, and reviews on coastal and offshore structures, underwater vehicles, hydrodynamics, marine energy, ocean monitoring, and emerging technologies shaping marine and offshore engineering.
