Physiology (PHY)

Section Information

Physiology focuses on the functions of cells, tissues, organs, and body systems, and how they work together to maintain health and homeostasis. It examines normal biological processes and responses to internal and external changes.

Modern physiological research includes molecular and cellular physiology, neurophysiology, cardiovascular and respiratory function, endocrine regulation, exercise physiology, and integrative systems biology. Advances in imaging, electrophysiology, computational modeling, and molecular techniques continue to deepen understanding of human body function.

This section publishes research articles, experimental studies, reviews, and case reports addressing physiological mechanisms, regulatory pathways, adaptive responses, and emerging discoveries that link basic science to human health and disease.
