Tropical Medicine (TRM)
Section Information
Tropical Medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and control of diseases that are prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions. It examines infectious and parasitic diseases, environmental and vector-related conditions, and the social and economic factors influencing health in these regions.
Modern research in tropical medicine covers parasitology, entomology, epidemiology, emerging infectious diseases, vaccine development, and global health strategies. Advances in diagnostics, vector control, public health interventions, and therapeutics continue to improve disease outcomes and reduce global disease burden.
This section publishes clinical studies, epidemiological research, reviews, and case reports addressing tropical infections, vector-borne diseases, environmental health risks, health systems challenges, and innovations in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
