Water Resources (WRS)
Section Information
Water Resources focuses on the availability, management, distribution, and quality of freshwater systems. It addresses hydrological processes, water supply, flood and drought management, aquatic ecosystems, and sustainable strategies for using and protecting water resources in natural and built environments.
Modern research in water resources includes hydrologic modeling, groundwater assessment, watershed management, hydroclimatic variability, water treatment technologies, ecohydrology, remote sensing, and integrated water resources management. Advances in monitoring tools, data analytics, numerical models, and climate impact assessment continue to improve water system planning and policy development.
This section publishes research articles, modeling studies, field investigations, reviews, and case analyses addressing hydrological processes, water management strategies, risk assessment, ecosystem interactions, and emerging solutions for sustainable water use.
