Zoology (ZOO)

Section Information

Zoology studies animals, their diversity, structure, physiology, behavior, ecology, and evolution. It covers organisms ranging from invertebrates to vertebrates and explores how animals adapt, interact, and function within natural and human-modified environments.

Modern zoology integrates field research, laboratory experiments, imaging, genetics, physiology, and computational approaches to understand animal biology across levels of organization. These methods reveal patterns of biodiversity, species interactions, developmental processes, and the effects of environmental change on animal populations.

This section will publish research articles, short communications, and reviews on animal biology, systematics, behavior, physiology, ecology, evolution, conservation, and applied zoology aimed at understanding and protecting animal life.
